피터 차일즈(지은이)
20세기 문학을 전공하고 폴 스콧(Paul Scott), E.M. 포스터, 하니프 쿠레이시(Hanif Kureishi)에 관한 논문을 주로 발표했다. 현대 영국문화와 탈식민주의 이론과 관련된 주제에 관한 책을 편집했다. 2004년 현재 영국 글로스터셔대학에서 영문학을 가르치고 있다. 지은 책으로 <폴 스콧의 라즈쿼터Paul Scott's Raj Quartet>, <20세기 시 연구The Twentieth Century in Poetry>, <모더니즘Modernism>, <탈식민주의 이론과 영국문학 Post-Colonial Theory and English Literature>, <소설 읽기Reading Fiction: Opening the Text> 등이 있다.
