Otto F. Kernberg(지은이)
1928년 오스트리아 빈에서 출생하였고, 1939년 나치를 피해 칠레로 이주하여 생물학, 의학, 정신의학 및 정신분석을 공부하였다. 1961년 미국으로 건너간 후 메닝거 메모리얼병원 Director, 토페카 정신분석연구소 지도감독 및 훈련 분석가, 컬럼비아대학교 의과대학 정신과교수 등을 역임하였다. 또한 미국 정신분석학회 회장과 국제 정신분석학회 회장을 지냈다. 현재 뉴욕 Presbyterian병원, Westchester분원의 경계선 인성장애 리소스센터의 임상 Director이며, 인성장애연구소의 Director이다. 또한 코넬대학교 의과대학 정신과교수로 재직 중이며 컬럼비아대학교 정신분석 훈련연구센터의 훈련 및 지도감독 분석가로 활동 중이다.
