책소개
This collection of essays by sixteen authorities in various fields assesses the prospects for the future of the International Criminal Court (ICC), established by the Rome Statute of 1998. Chapters are in sections on precedents and their lessons; the merger of international criminal law, humanitarian law, and human rights law; international public policy and the ICC; and problems of jurisdiction and effectiveness. Specific topics discussed include women's issues in international criminal law, amnesty and the ICC, reparations for victims of international crimes, and the US and the ICC.
