맨체스터 대학에서 PPE(철학과 정치학, 경제학 융합 전공) 과정을 졸업했다. 대학 2학년 때인 2012년, 동료 카할 모런과 제크 워드 퍼킨스와 함께 맨체스터 대학 내 경제학 개혁운동 동아리인 포스트 크래시 경제학회(Post-Crash Economics Society)를 창립했다. 졸업 후 퀸메리 대학 연구원으로 근무하면서 경제학 개혁운동 단체 리싱킹 경제학(Rethinking Economics)의 공동의장을 역임했다. 현재 리싱킹 경제학의 웹 사이트 ‘Economy’(www.ecnmy.org)의 대표로서 다양한 경제학 개혁 및 교육 프로그램을 기획하고 있다.
