1965년생. 옥스포드 대학 졸업 후에 아동 도서와 만화 편집자로 일하다가 작가의 길을 걷게 되었다. 영국과 미국을 오가며 내놓은 그의 대표작은 헤아릴 수 없을 정도다. 영국의 만화 잡지 “2000 AD”에서 <저지 드레드>, <벡터 13>, <시니스터 덱스터>, <킹덤>, 마블에서는 <어나일레이션>, <퍼니셔>, <가디언즈 오브 더 갤럭시>, DC에서는 <배트맨>, <리전 로스트> 등이 대표작으로 꼽히는데, 그 외에도 <코난 더 바바리안>, <엑스맨>, <닥터 후>, <터미네이터> 같은 수많은 캐릭터들이 그의 손을 거쳤다.
