야로미르 말레크(지은이)
프라하 찰스 대학에서 이집트학 박사학위를 받았다. 『고대 이집트 상형 문자에 나타난 지형적 자료』의 편집인이자 아쉬몰리언 박물관 부설 그리피스 연구소의 고문서 국장이다. 그는 이집트 전역의 많은 유적지 발굴 작업에 참여했다. 저서로 『피라미드의 그늘에서: 고왕국 시대 이집트(In the Shadow of the Pyramids: Egypt during the Old Kingdom)』, 『고대 이집트와 이집트의 고양이(The Cat in Ancient Egypt)』, 『이집트 예술(Egyptian Art)』 등이 있다.
