아리아나 프랭클린(지은이)
'다이애나 노먼'이라는 본명으로 이미 영국에서 널리 알려진 역사소설가이다. 영국 데번에서 태어나 기자가 되었다. 결혼 후 기자 일을 그만두고 하트퍼드셔에 정착, 두 딸을 키우며 15년간 중세 역사를 연구하고 글을 썼다. 1980년 첫 작품 <The Sparks Fly Upward>을 펴냈고, 이후 10여 권의 소설을 발표했다. 2006년 작 <City of Shadows>를 출간하면서부터 '아리아나 프랭클린'이란 필명을 사용하기 시작했다.
