알도 로시(지은이)
1931년 이탈리아 밀라노에서 태어난 세계적인 건축가. 밀라노 공대 건축학부를 1959년에 졸업하고, 학생 시절부터 건축 잡지사 '카사벨라-콘티누이타(Casabella-continuita)'에서 일하기 시작하여 1964년까지 잡지 편집에 참여하면서 이탈리아 건축 문화에 중요한 역할을 했다. 근대건축에서 현대건축으로의 전환기에 큰 획을 그은 중요한 건축가로 평가받고 있다. 주요 작품으로 밀라노 바레제(Varese)의 '파냐노 올로나(Fagnano Olona) 초등학교(1972~1977)', 베네치아 비엔날레를 위해 만든 '표류하는 세계의 극장(Teatro del Mondo)(1979)', 1985년에 완성된 베를린의 '라우흐슈트라세(Rauchstrasse) 집합주택' 등이 있다.
