알렉산더 초니스(지은이)
예일대를 졸업했다. 1967년부터 1981년까지 하버드대학에서 교수직을 역임했으며, MIT등 여러 대학교에서 방문 교수로 활동하기도 했다. 이후 네덜란드 델프트 공대 건축이론 및 디자인 방법론 전공수석교수직을 지냈다. 2007년 현재 명예교수로 있으며, 건축적 인지에 대한 학제간 연구를 수행하는 디자인 지식시스템 연구소 소장으로 재직 중이다. 지은 책으로 <건축적 사고의 구조 Towards a nonoppressive Environment>, <고전건축의 시학> 등이 있다.
