리처드 J. 슈나이더(지은이)
아이오와주 웨이벌리에 있는 와트버그 대학 영문학과 부교수 겸 학과장이었으며, 1973년부터 1986년까지 노스 캐롤라이나주의 윌슨에 있는 애틀랜틱 크리스찬 대학의 영문학 및 현대언어학과 정교수와 학과장을 역임했다. 햄라인 대학교에서 문학사학위(1967), 캘리포니아 대학교에서 석사학위(1968) 및 박사학위(1973)를 받았다. ESQ: A Journal of the American Renaissance와 Critical Survey of Poetry에 소로에 관한 논문들과 서평들을 발표했고, Critique: Studies in Modern Fiction과 Modern Fiction Studies에 20세기 작가인 윌리암 개스(William Gass)에 관한 논문들을 발표했다.
