선물과 헤지펀드 분야 전문가이며 우리 시대의 전설적인 트레이더들을 인터뷰한 유명 베스트셀러 ‘시장의 마법사들’ 시리즈의 저자이다. 대표 저서로는 《시장의 마법사들》《새로운 시장의 마법사들》《주식시장의 마법사들》《헤지펀드 시장의 마법사들》《타이밍의 마법사들》 등이 있다. 그 외 저서로는 《기술적 분석 모르고 절대 주식투자 하지 마라》 《시장의 상식과 비상식Market Sense and Nonsense》《슈웨거의 선물시장 비법Schwager on Futures》(3부작) 등이 있다. 슈웨거는 세계의 유능한 트레이더들을 찾아내 투자 자본과 연결해주는 독자적인 트레이더 발굴 플랫폼 운영 기업인 펀드시더(FundSeeder.com)의 공동 창립자이다. 헤지펀드 자문 회사의 파트너로 10년간 일했으며, 푸르덴셜증권을 포함해 월스트리트 유수 증권사에서 선물 리서치 담당 이사로 22년간 근무했다. 헤지펀드 포트폴리오, 종합자산운용계좌, 기술적 분석, 트레이딩 시스템 평가 등 다방면에 걸친 강연으로도 유명하다. 브루클린대학교에서 경제학을 전공했고, 브라운대학교에서 경제학 석사학위를 취득했다.
