Znet과 'Z 매거진'의 편집자로 유명한 미국의 반자본주의 운동가이자 저술가. 1960년대에는 '민주 사회를 위한 학생 연합' 회원이었고 베트남 전쟁 반대 운동에 참가했다. 시장경제의 폐지를 주장하면서 대안 사회의 모델로 '참여 경제'를 주장한 저서 <파레콘: 자본주의 이후, 인류의 삶>이 국내에도 출간되어 있다.
