Rowe (strategic analysis and action, Ivey School of Business, Western U.) and Guerrero (business administration, U. of Texas at El Paso) collect 32 leadership cases drawn from Ivey Business School's case collection and 16 practitioner readings (mostly from Ivey Business Journal) to help MBA, undergraduate business students, and students in other areas gain a better understanding of leadership so they can effectively exercise leadership and managerial skills. They focus on complex issues and summarize concepts and theories and their relevance to cases that address the definition of leadership; traits, skills, and styles; the situational approach; the contingency, path-goal, and leader-member exchange theories; transformational, authentic, team, and strategic leadership; women and leadership; culture; and ethical leadership.
