쉴라 재서노프(엮은이)
하버드대학교 케네디 공공정책대학원의 STS 석좌 교수이다. 그는 과학기술이 어떻게 현재 민주주의의 법, 정치, 정책과 상호 작용하는지 탐구하며, 특히 공적 이성의 성격에 주목한다. 재서노프의 연구는 과학과 사회적 질서의 ‘공동생산(co-production)을 강조하고, 사회과학과 인문학의 개념 사전에 ‘사회기술적 상상(sociotechnical imaginary)’과 ‘생명입헌주의(bioconstitutionalism)’와 같은 용어들을 등재시켰다. 현재의 직책을 맡기 전에는 코넬대학교 STS 학과의 초대 학과장이었다. 재서노프는 4S 학회에서 학회장을 맡는 등 중요한 직책을 역임했고, 과학정책에서 논쟁적인 이슈들을 분석하고 형성하는 STS의 통찰력을 활용하여, 과학자와 대중을 포함하여 STS 학계 밖에 있는 사람들을 위해 글을 쓰고 그들과 일하기도 한다.
