책소개
Active Contours deals with the analysis of moving images - a topic of growing importance within the computer graphics industry. In particular it is concerned with understanding, specifying and learning prior models of varying strength and applying them to dynamic contours. Its aim is to develop and analyse these modelling tools in depth and within a consistent framework.

앤드류 블레이크(지은이)
1980년 영국 런던의 템스 폴리테크닉을 졸업한 뒤 <맨 점핑 Man Jumping>이라는 아트록 그룹을 결성해 색소폰 연주자로 활동하다가 1984년 같은 학교에서 빅토리아 소설 연구로 박사 학위를 받았다. 그 뒤 런던 이스트 대학 등지에서 문화연구를 가르치다가 부임해 현재까지 재직하고 있다. '현역 작곡가'이기도 한 블레이크는 자신의 현장 경험을 토대로 대중음악, 스포츠, 소설, 인종, 성을 주제로 수많은 책들을 집필하고 , 편집했으며 영국 유수의 시사지 「가디언」과 「인디펜던트」 등에 활발하게 기고하고 있다. 지은 책으로 <음악 없는 세계 The Land Without Music : Music, Culture and Society in Twentieth-Century Britain>(1998), <보디 랭퀴지 The Body Language : The Meaning of Modern Sport>(1997), <살만 루시디 Slaman Rushdie : A Beginner's Guide&gr;(2001) 등이 있다.
