What is a Designated Book?

Designated books are printed materials that professors/instructors select textbooks or reference books necessary for lectures and designate so that students taking the lectures can use the materials at any time in the library.

Designated Book Search

  • You can search by course name, professor name, and department in [Find&Borrow -> Lecture Materials -> Designated Books] on the library homepage.
  • As a result of the search result, materials whose collection location is indicated as “Designated Library” or “Designated” Shelf are Designated Books.

Designated Book Use

  • It is available at the designated place or reference room of each library by subject or lecture major of the designated book.
ex. For the Sejong Library, please use it at the designated book shelf in the Science and Technology Library on the 5th floor.
  • Designated books cannot be borrowed/reserved as they are restricted for borrowing, and can be viewed/copied in the library.
  • However, if a separate application is made in consideration of the number of lectures and students, duplicate copies (2 or more books) may be provided according to consultation.
