피터 드러커와 30년을 함께한 동료로서 드러커를 대신해 강의를 맡아 진행했을 정도로 조직과 경영에 대한 전문적 식견을 갖추고 있다. 드러커 인스티튜트의 연구학술 이사, 피터 드러커 앤드 마사토시 이토 경영대학원의 종신교수로 드러커와 함께 연구해온 현대 경영학의 방향과 리더십의 가치에 대한 저술활동을 이어나가고 있다. 저서로는 《당신은 어떤 리더입니까》와 드러커와 공동으로 집필한 《피터 드러커 경영 바이블》이 있다.
