Written during the winter of 1929-30 and his last major work, Apocalypse is Lawrence's radical criticism of the political, religious and social structures that have shaped Western civilization. 데이비드 허버트 로렌스(지은이)
1885년 9월 10일 잉글랜드 중부 지방 노팅엄 근교 탄광 지대에서 아버지 존 아서 로렌스와 어머니 리디어 비어즐 로렌스의 3남으로 태어났다. 그의 아버지는 탄광 광부로서 교육을 받지 못한 노동자였고 어머니는 중산층 출신의 교사였다. D.
