The essays in this important collection reveal that the key to success for companies competing in the new digital world will not be to engineer big technological breakthroughs, but rather to develop new products and services by creatively combining new and existing technologies with innovative managerial approaches. The book features contributions from scholars at institutions including the Harvard Business School, Stanford, and MIT, as well as senior managers at Intel, IBM, and Mercer Management Consulting. Drawing lessons from their own and other leading companies of the information age, including Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, and Microsoft, the authors explore the dynamics of the rapidly evolving digital environment. 데이비드 요피(엮은이)

전략 이론의 세계적인 권위자. 하버드대학교 경영대학원 행정학 교수이자 세계경영인협회 프로그램을 총괄하고 있다. 1989년부터 2018년까지 인텔 이사로 재임하여 역대 최장기 이사회 멤버가 되었다. 빌 게이츠, 스티브 잡스, 앤디 그로브 등 수많은 테크 기업 경영인과 임원을 인터뷰했으며 200건 이상의 케이스 스터디를 진행했다. 《뉴욕타임스》 《월스트리트저널》에 기고했으며 《불황을 이기는 유도전략》 《전략의 원칙》(공저) 등 10여 권의 책을 저술했다.
