책소개
This text for advanced students provides many brief chapters with opening key points, exercises, and annotated further reading suggestions. The first part of the book introduces background necessary to understand qualitative research, covering design methodologies, data management, analytical approaches, and incorporating data from multiple sources. Parts 2 and 3 present brief chapters (about 10 pages each) on traditional analytical approaches and newer qualitative approaches, from classical ethnography to cyber ethnography. Part 4 describes analytic approaches for existing documentation, and part 5 covers data management using qualitative computer programs. The last section covers theorizing from qualitative data, writing up results, and innovative data display. The book includes b&w photos. A companion website contains lecture slides and solutions to exercises. Grbich teaches medicine at Flinders University, Australia. Annotation ⓒ2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
