책소개
The economic liberalization of Eastern Europe, the single European market and the rise of industrialization in Asia call for a fresh approach to international business. This book shows how to analyze the economic, social and political changes and to develop appropriate responses. The book analyzes trade policy in a number of countries, explores the movement of capital and examines balance of payments situations around the world. 수만트라 고샬(지은이)
인도 캘커타 출신의 세계적인 경영학자로 ‘유럽 경영학의 스승’으로 불린다. 2004년 3월 갑작스러운 뇌출혈로 사망했다. MIT 슬론매니지먼트스쿨과 하버드경영대학원에서 한꺼번에 2개의 박사학위 논문을 제출하기도 하였다. 프랑스 INSEAD경영대학원, 영국의 런던경영대학원과 고등경영학연구소의 교수를 역임하고 하버드경영대학원의 감독위원회 위원과 히데라바드에 있는 인도경영대학원의 초대학장을 지냈다. 10권의 저서와 70여 편의 논문을 발표했으며, 뛰어난 사례연구로 각종 상을 수상하였다.
크리스토퍼 바틀렛(지은이)
호주 출신으로 퀸즐랜드대학교에서 경제학 학위를 취득한 후 하버드대학교에서 경영학 석사 및 박사학위를 받았다. 호주의 Alcoa에서 마케팅 관리자로 경력을 시작하여 영국에서 맥킨지 앤 컴퍼니의 경영컨설턴트로, 프랑스의 Baxter Laboratories 자회사에서 총괄 책임자로 근무했으며, 그 이후 하버드경영대학원의 교수를 역임했다. 8권의 저서와 50여 편의 논문을 발표했으며, 2001년에는 the Academy Management의 International Division에서 첫 번째로 Distinguished Scholar Award를 수상하였다.
